Most part-time jobs require you to fill out and turn in an application before you actually go in for an interview. After you've found some jobs and turned in applications, more than likely the employer will contact you about setting up an interview time. Although it may be scary or make you a little nervous, interviewing for jobs is not hard if you are prepared and ready to handle whatever questions you are asked. Here are some "do's" and "don'ts" to remember when trying to land a part-time job.
DO Be honest and realistic with your expectations of what the job will be like.
DON'T Get involved if it seems like a job you might not do well.
DO Be a few minutes early to the interview.
DON'T Be late for an interview.
DO Call them ahead of time if you need to cancel or will be late
DON'T Miss an appointment without letting them know you aren't coming!
DO Bring a resume along with you.
DON'T Walk into the interview unprepared.
